Paramount Skydance Will Cut Around 2,000 US Jobs – Update
Skydance Paramount is scheduled to start significant workforce reductions beginning on 27 October, eliminating about 2,000 American roles within a expense reduction strategy valued at $2bn led by new chief executive David Ellison.
The workforce reduction come after the union between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, finalized in August worth $8.4bn.
Additional international job cuts are expected, with Paramount Skydance planning to reveal complete information during its third-quarter financial update set for the 10th of November.
Previous updates stated the company aimed to eliminate from 2,000 to 3,000 roles by the beginning of next month.
As of December 2024, the company had nearly 18,600 workers on full-time and part-time contracts and 3,500 contract workers.
