I'll stamp all over 'credible combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.

Former twice unified boxing king Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive disparity - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Attitude

"I will damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

In spite of such comments, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK rival Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Still, the novice is still one of the sport's largest money-making draws, regularly earning massive financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would stop the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters participated in the customary stare-down, with their height and weight contrast evident, it emphasized just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the fight is truly proceeding.
