It's a challenge for Australia to set fresh records.

The top summits have been successfully scaled.

This is the team that has secured seven Cricket World Cups, in addition to six more T20 titles, and once went 1,294 days unbeaten in 50-over cricket.

The alternative records, those for the record chasers, are the only things left for a squad that has won it all.

That it took until Sunday's victory by three wickets over India for them to achieve their initial ODI chase over 300, reclaiming their record for the biggest in the women's 50-over format, is, in truth, a tribute to the pitchers that have represented Australia over five decades.

It's difficult for their hitters to maintain a record if never given the opportunity.

Ultimately, the outcome of Australia giving up 330 runs was captain Alyssa Healy receiving a platform to create her newest gem.

Originally famous as the young family member of celebrated previous Aussie wicketkeeper Ian, she made her debut in 2010 after Australia failed to win either of the T20 or ODI World Cups from the prior year and has experienced everything through 15 successful years since.

Success in the T20 World Cup arrived three months after her debut and seven international trophies have followed from 10 attempts across formats.

The determined wicketkeeper was present as well in Derby in 2017 when a semi-final defeat by India momentarily interrupted the winning streak.

That loss "motivated us to reconsider our benchmarks," Healy stated recently.

At the following one-day championship in New Zealand, Healy hit 170 against England in the final and was awarded tournament MVP. She ensured her country would not fall short again.

The question of whether this recent magnificent innings exceeded that prior achievement is debatable.

Many contend the case for final game tension. Different voices suggest with the difficulty that comes when facing a record target and a raucous India-supporting crowd of 20,000.

"The possibility to play and engage in competition with her and merely enjoy the moment in that regard, sort of got me going," stated Healy.

She reached fifty in 35 deliveries - her swiftest at the global tournament - and her hundred in 84 balls as she attacked short-pitched balls, striking 21 boundaries and three sixes.

Once she was out Australia needed 66 additional runs at a run-a-ball - an unconquered height now needing a comfortable finish.

"To chase 330 is uncharted waters so I am glad we have the assurance to achieve that now," added Healy.

"Hopefully we don't have to do it another time but, if we do, we are confident we can achieve it."

These statements will be the final thing Australia's opponents at this tournament should hear.

In recent days a sense they will succeed regardless of circumstances has grown stronger - this success succeeding success over Pakistan by 107 runs despite being 76-7 at one stage.

Following this Australia face Bangladesh before an encounter with traditional opponents England in Indore in 10 days, by which point a semi-final place may likely be confirmed.

It was in the semi-finals they left last year's T20 World Cup in a surprising setback by South Africa - an encounter Healy couldn't play because of damaged tissue in her foot as she led her country for the initial instance at a significant event.
